On behalf of the Louisiana Association of Tax Administrators (LATA), Jefferson Davis Parish is pleased to invite you to the 59th Annual LATA Conference, being held December 10–12, 2025, at the beautiful Golden Nugget Casino & Resort in Lake Charles. We’re excited to wrap up the year with learning, laughter, and a whole lot of holiday cheer. This year’s conference is full of festive fun and meaningful connections. Whether you’re joining us for the first time or returning once again, we’re grateful to have you as part of the LATA family.
We’ll kick things off with our Holiday Bowl for a Cause at Petro Bowl! All proceeds will support the Roy D. Austin and LATA Scholarship Funds, and lunch will be provided.

Get ready for Fleece Navidad, our Christmas-themed welcome night! Wear your ugliest Christmas sweater and join us for an evening featuring a cocktail hour, hot chocolate bar, holiday games, dinner, karaoke, and a visit from a very special Christmas Curmudgeon.
A prize will be awarded to the best (or worst!) sweater—so don’t hold back!
Thursday evening will bring A Not So Silent Night, featuring live holiday music by The Katrice Lacour Trio. Dress as your favorite Christmas character from books, movies, or TV—whether that’s Buddy the Elf, the Grinch, or Frosty the Snowman—and show off your holiday spirit! Prizes will be awarded for Best Individual Costume and Best Group Costume.
While enjoying the music and mingling, don’t miss the Silent Auction—a great chance to pick up some last-minute gifts while supporting the LATA Scholarship Fund. Silent Auction Donations Welcome If you’d like to contribute, we welcome gift baskets, local items, gift cards, or other festive donations. Items can be dropped off at the registration desk on Wednesday or Thursday of the conference. Your generosity helps support scholarships and future LATA initiatives.
We’ve secured a special group rate at the Golden Nugget Casino & Resort, where all conference events will be held: $129 nightly rate, plus a $24.99 resort fee and applicable taxes. Reservations must be made by Sunday, November 9, 2025, to receive the group rate.

Early registration for the conference is $325 for members, $375 for non-members, and $175 per guest. A $50 late fee will be added to registrations received after November 14, 2025. Conference registrations can be completed online at https://laota.wildapricot.org/event-6368026. Registration fees may be paid online or by check. Checks should be made payable to LATA and mailed to: LATA – 2025 Annual Conference, P.O. Box 134, Gonzales, LA 70707. Please note that refunds will not be considered after December 2, 2025.
