Welcome to the 3rd Quarter LATA Conference!
On behalf of the Louisiana Association of Tax Administrators (LATA), it is our pleasure to welcome you to the Paragon Casino Resort in Marksville for our 3rd Quarter Conference hosted by Avoyelles and Allen Parish Sales & Use Tax Departments!
This quarter, our theme is "Navigating the Bayou of Sales Tax." Just like steering through Louisiana's winding waterways, managing the ever-changing landscape of tax administration requires skill, foresight, and strong teamwork. Over the next few days, our sessions and discussions are designed to give Tax Administrators and Collectors the tools and insights you need to steer your organization smoothly through the complex sales tax currents.
Of course, no LATA gathering is complete without a bit of Louisiana hospitality and time to connect with fellow attendees. We have a great lineup of events planned for you:
· Wednesday Evening: Kick back and relax at Game Night! Join us for light refreshments, friendly competition, and a chance to unwind as we open the conference.
· Thursday Evening: Get ready for a classic Louisiana night out! We’ll gather at Bailey’s on the Square for dinner, drinks, and entertainment provided by the Mood Swing. Throw on your finest camo—that way, if the small talk gets awkward, you can just lean against a wall and disappear. It’s the perfect setting to celebrate our work, network, and enjoy great music together.
Whether you are here to sharpen your technical skills, catch up on legislative updates, or build lasting connections with peers across the state, we are thrilled to have you with us.
Hotel reservations can be made by calling the Paragon Casino Resort reservations office (800) 642-7777 and/or fax to (318) 240-6601. Our code for the group rate is LTS09GR. The group rate will be available for reservations made through August 26, 2026.
The group rate for the North Tower is $109, South Tower is $119, and Atrium is $129. A $15 resort fee will be assessed per room, per night.
Conference registration can be accessed HERE. The conference registration fee for members is $225 and $250 for non-members if registration is received by September 1, 2026. Guests are welcome, however there is a $115 fee per guest to cover food and beverage cost at the social functions. Late registration is $250 for members and $275 for non-members. Checks should be made payable to LATA and sent to PO Box 134 Gonzales, LA 70707.
